Product detailed description
Like the iconic 1969 Ford Mustang Mach-1, this knife from Böker exudes the power, style, and freedom of American roads.
Inspired by the legendary car, the 1969 Mach-1 Damascus features premium materials, unique design, and the soul of a powerful V8 engine. The blade, made of hand-forged Damascus steel (84 layers) in Chad Nichols' Wavepool pattern, contains parts of the original Mustang—a wheel hub, arm, and suspension.
The blade with bearing mounting and removable pin opening is securely locked by a liner lock, while the ergonomic aluminum handle with cutouts evokes the lines of the car body. The gold element on the front spine refers to the chrome trim on the car, while the striking Silver Jade color and fastback contours create a dynamic look.
There is also a detailed center screw reminiscent of the movement of the wheels and a stainless steel clip inspired by the Mustang door handles.

Böker - the history of the factory dates back to the 17th century, the original forge was then located in Remscheid. In 1829-30, production was extended to sabres and swords. At that time, the factory employed over 100 blacksmiths and sharpeners. In the second half of the 19th century, part of the family moved to the USA and Canada, where they established further production facilities. The last of the Bocker siblings, Heinrich, moved to Solingen where most of today's production comes from. Boker manufactures knives according to its own designs and those of well-known knifemakers.
The company now manufactures its products in Germany, the USA and Argentina and uses the marketing brand MAGNUM. Böker develops new types and designs itself and employs several designers. The knives are manufactured on CNC (computer controlled machine tools) with the highest quality.
