The TOPS Knives El Chappito is an exceptionally sturdy, American-made mini cleaver that delivers tremendous cutting power in a compact body. This knife was designed as a highly functional hybrid between a durable outdoor tool and a stylish EDC companion. It excels both at preparing meals while camping and during demanding work in the field or in the workshop.
The wide, solid cleaver-shaped blade provides excellent support for the fingers and gives the knife tremendous structural strength. It is made of 1095HC high-carbon steel, which is known for its extreme toughness and ease of sharpening in the field. A durable Coyote Tan finish protects the steel from corrosion, eliminates glare, and gives the knife an attractive tactical look.
The ergonomic micarta scales, which develop a distinctive patina with use, ensure an uncompromising non-slip grip even with wet hands. Since it is made of carbon steel, the knife simply needs to be cleaned after use, wiped dry, and occasionally treated with a drop of oil. The knife also comes with a Kydex sheath.
