The limited-edition M500 ANTHROPOID 1942 – Mercedes-Benz 320 Cabriolet B continues the tradition of the Acta Non Verba models, which commemorate one of the most significant operations of the Czechoslovak resistance during World War II.
Each year of this series combines the historical legacy of Operation Anthropoid with modern craftsmanship, high-quality materials, and a tribute to the men who stood up to Nazi power.
This year’s 2026 edition pays homage to the Mercedes-Benz 320 Cabriolet B—the open-top official car of Reich Protector Reinhard Heydrich.
It was this very car that became the target of an assassination attempt in Prague’s Libeň district on May 27, 1942, during Operation Anthropoid.
The grenade thrown by Jan Kubiš after Gabčík’s submachine gun malfunctioned severely damaged the car and was also the cause of serious injuries to Heydrich himself, to which he succumbed in the following days.
A photograph of the destroyed Mercedes later became a symbol of the successful resistance against the Nazi regime and a reminder that even the highest representatives of Nazi power were not untouchable.
The knife’s design is based on the proven M500 ANTHROPOID model, inspired by the legendary British Fairbairn–Sykes dagger. The character of this year’s limited edition is underscored by an engraving of the silhouette of the Mercedes-Benz 320 Cabriolet B, which has become an integral part of the history of Operation Anthropoid.
The solid full-tang construction ensures high strength and durability during use. The ergonomically shaped, 3D-milled handle made of red G10 material with a distinctive texture provides a secure and safe grip even in demanding conditions. The knife is complemented by a distinctive guard and a handle end featuring a glass-breaking tip.
The package includes a self-locking Kydex sheath compatible with MOLLE webbing and a themed card recounting the story of this year’s edition.
Only 100 pieces will be produced, with each knife bearing its own individual numbering.
