The Fieldcraft knife was designed by The Brothers of Bushcraft, BOB, an organization of men from across North America dedicated to sharing skills of all categories for life in the wilderness. From tracking to shelter building, BOB strives to show these skills to all people, of all ages, from all corners of the world.
The overall length of the knife is 25.4 cm and the blade length is 12.1 cm. It is a compact but very usable knife.
The blade of the Fieldcraft knife has been made from 154CM stainless steel. The blade has been sharpened as a modified Scandinavian grind which is very effective for carving, skinning and other general woodland work. With a 56-58 Rockwell hardness, the user will always have an easy job sharpening the knife. The hardness and blade geometry work great together to create a long lasting edge.
The handle is one of the most ergonomic on the market and has several useful extras. Although knives with a lot of fads often end up falling short, the additional features found on a Fieldcraft knife were chosen based on experience and critically evaluated at every step of design, development and production.
The sheath is made of tough and durable kydex with a steel belt clip. This arrangement allows for safe, secure and comfortable carry on a belt, backpack strap, or even around the neck. With a built-in Ferro rod attachment point, the holster now serves as a minimalist survival kit. The Fieldcraft knife has undergone heavy handling and testing in the Canadian wilderness where local survival experts Mors Kochanski, Dr. Gino Ferri and many others have called it a "usable field knife". These words are exactly what it is meant to be. The TOPS Knives/Brothers of Bushcraft Fieldcraft knife can handle almost any job you can throw at it in a wilderness survival situation, from carving to chopping branches.

In late 1998, the TOPS Knives brand was founded with the goal of creating some of the highest quality knives on the market.
