The Pacifico knife was created as a result of Bob Terzuola and his wife Suz's move to San Diego and carries a strong Pacific influence. Its shape is based on the classic Italian stiletto, but its lines have been redesigned to resemble the silhouette of marine animals - particularly the tail fins of a dolphin or whale. This structural modification not only adds to the visual impression, but at the same time increases ergonomics when holding.
The handle, crafted with an emphasis on balance and a firm grip, uses corrosion- and moisture-resistant materials - ideal for salt-air environments. The blade length is approximately 95 mm, the total length when open does not exceed 230 mm. The steel of the blade comes from the top MagnaCut grade, with a hardness of around 62-64 HRC, making it hold its edge well even under heavy use. The surface of the blade is satin ground, which helps to resist glare and mechanical wear.
The opening mechanism combines speed with security - an internal liner-lock lock ensures safety during handling. The opening itself is smooth thanks to the precision fit on the ball bearings. The knife does not forget about practicality in everyday carry - the stainless steel clasp allows a deep and stable seating in the pocket.
From an aesthetic point of view, Pacifico appears as an object that combines technical precision with the poetics of nature. Its curves evoke the idea of ocean currents and water flow. Every detail is both thoughtful and functional - from the contours of the blade to the subtle textures on the handle, reminiscent of the texture of shells or the skin of marine mammals.
Pacifico is not only a tool, but also a vehicle for a story in which technique combines with emotion. It feels solid in the hand, as if one is holding a fragment of the ocean that can be taken anywhere.
