Leo Espinoza, president of TOPS, had toyed with several cleaver designs in the past and decided, given the success of the FMS knives and the fact that TOPS had recently debuted a chef's knife, it was time to make the El Chappo knife a reality.
While this knife/chopper can be used for heavier tasks related to chopping vegetables, it is primarily designed for cutting meat.
With a blade length of 6" and a thickness of 3/16", this cleaver has the weight and capabilities to help you take care of any meat processing you may encounter. It is made from 1095 high carbon steel and has a Sniper Gray finish from TOPS.
It comes with a kydex blade guard that is held securely in place with a flexible shock cord.
An El Chappo that will always be useful in the kitchen and in the field. So whether you're preparing dinner in the kitchen or processing fresh game in a hunting camp, the El Chappo may be just what you need.

In late 1998, the TOPS Knives brand was founded with the goal of creating some of the highest quality knives on the market.
