Njord was a fertility god in the Norse sagas and belonged to the Vanir family. He was also the god of sailors and fishermen and ruler of the coast and beaches. Mod. NL3 Njord is a strong, well-balanced knife that is a joy to handle. You'd be hard pressed to find a more attractive all-purpose knife, and its strength, of course, lies in its laminated VG10 steel, where the convex blade is made of VG10 steel and the sides are made of tough, all-stainless 420J2 steel. This combination is undoubtedly the best because it combines all conceivable and desirable properties such as flexibility, torque resistance and blade durability in a single blade. Thanks to the laminate technology, you can expect an additional 20% strength in the form of bending resistance compared to a conventional VG10 blade. This guarantees features that no other manufacturer in the world can offer.
The handle consists of a specially selected ox hide that provides a secure and sturdy grip. It ages beautifully and acquires an attractive brown patina as the years pass, is unaffected by oil or solvents and is water resistant.
Included is a top quality brown leather sheath.
