Gold Lion Wakishashi is the lightest wakizashi from Cold Steel. The blade is made of damascus steel and is profiled with a groove along its length, making the sword lighter and emitting a beautiful high pitched sound when practiced. Its light weight makes the sword agile and easy to handle. The blade is hammered on the edge of the blade, which is accentuated by a chemical process. Menuki, the element under the braid of the hilt, bears the symbol of the Japanese Shisa (Lion Dog) guardian or protector. The stingray leather handle is braided with black cord. The black guard, Tsuba, is complemented by Fuchi and Kashira with the same decorative motifs. The package also includes a lacquered scabbard, Saya, made of soft wood.
