The Tanto (Warrior Series) is a functional replica of a Japanese dagger that was used for both defense and ceremonial or ritual practices. Warrior Series swords are made of high carbon 1060 steel with heat treatment. For this series, expensive polishing has been omitted in favor of a more practical finish. This makes the Warrior series an ideal choice for training and perfecting chopping techniques (Tameshigiri) without damaging or losing the shine of the blade. The Tsuba, complemented by the Fuchi and Kashira are decorated with the same simple motif. The sword also comes with a lacquered scabbard, Saya, made of soft wood.
