When you hold the Shikoto Hammer-Forged Longsword Master, you are holding the same weapon that warriors used over 2500 years ago. Using the methods used by Bronze Age swordsmen, the 52cm long blade of T10 high carbon steel was hammer-forged and hardened in clay to create the visible line of the hamon. Thanks to differential hardening, this magnificent sword has a harder edge and softer back, the hallmarks of a high-quality weapon. The tsuba and hilt fittings are solid iron and the wooden hilt has a traditional cord wrap over genuine tea-dyed stingray leather. The blade is housed in a black lacquered and polished wooden sheath with cord wrapping. Also included with the Shikoto Longquan Master Wakizashi is a certificate of authenticity with blacksmithing information signed by the master swordsmith who made the blade.
