When you hold the Shikoto Hammer Forged Longsword Master, you are holding the same weapon that a warrior used over 2500 years ago. The 1060 high carbon steel blade, also used by Bronze Age swordsmen, is hammer forged and clay hardened to create the visible hamon line. Differential hardening gives this magnificent sword a harder edge and softer body, the hallmark of a high quality weapon. The Tsuba is made of solid brass with a Bronze Age finish. The blade is protected by a black lacquered and polished wooden saya. The Shikoto Longquan Master Teal Wakizashi Sword also includes a certificate of authenticity with forging specifications, signed by the master swordsmith who made the blade.
