The one-handed Lionheart sword is typical of the cross-hilt style of the European crusader knights of the 12th and 13th centuries. The round pommel and slightly turned bowtie guard make this sword very attractive.'
Paul Chen swords are made in the same way swords were made centuries ago, except now the blades are forged from high carbon spring steel. The blade finish, far from being polished, more closely replicates what medieval swordsmiths were able to achieve. In addition, as noted, the hardwood handles are leather covered. The fittings are either steel or solid brass. These swords will appeal to those who want a sword with the same appearance as the originals.
