Polishing your knife blades or skinning them will give you the sharpest edge your knives have seen since they left the factory. Leather polishing is an old technique to complete the perfect knife edge that produces unparalleled results.
This Lansky skinning is only used on blades that are already extremely sharp. When dressing, you only need to pull in one direction and that is from the blade upwards. In the opposite direction, the blade will cut into the leather.
