A tribute to the men and women who hunt and fish in the Tex creek area of southeastern Idaho. This wildlife management area, which includes 2 national forests, is home to an abundance of diverse wildlife and accessible from about 10 miles of TOPS facilities. The open range, high rugged mountains, waterways, and extensive forests provide hunters and anglers with diverse terrain to harvest: elk, bear, cougars, wolves, pheasants, turkeys, quail, rabbits, ducks, geese, and salmon.
The fact that this area of Texas Creek is so close to Tops' production facilities allows designers and makers the opportunity to field test in their own backyards. Because many Tops employees grew up in this environment, they have ample opportunity to evaluate the use of knives/tools in the most adverse conditions. The Tex Creek XL knife is a great example of a quality, good looking work knife.

Dark Micarta scabbards are bolted to the handle and the knife has a large cord holder highlighted on the back of the handle.
The handles are designed and made for a positive grip and for long term use. The simple and usable design is enhanced by the sturdy blade and full tang handle.
This is a knife that works well in the field and looks and feels like an old trusted friend wherever you go.

On the uncoated parts of the blade you can clearly see the heat treatment lines along the blade edge, so the dark steel pattern is unique on each piece.
