Taiga knives are distinctive hunting and utility knives for demanding users. A strong blade made of laminated cobalt steel doesn't just mean stable function, you'll notice quite quickly that it holds the blade really well without being brittle. This is due to the fine, well heat-treated and hardened steel, but also to the convexly shaped blade, which is not only strong but also razor sharp.
As you can see from the design, the TF1 knife is handmade with a handle made of very exclusive desert ironwood. Like all natural materials, it varies in texture and colour, making each knife an individual piece. Desert ironwood, which grows in the southwestern United States, has a rather special property - it is heavier than water, which means it will sink. The fact that the blade runs the full width of the handle (called a full tang blade) results in a very strong and reliable construction, and gives the knife a nice weight.
The special feature of these knives is the very secure plastic sheath, whose specially designed locking system ensures that the knife is properly secured when inserted into the sheath.
