Detailed information

Product detailed description

Three-sided grip design, the knife was developed by SWAT officer Lee Smith as a defensive tool for police and military forces. The name "tertiary" (meaning third in order or level) was born out of the legendary Izula line and comes as a supplement, as a third weapon (primary firearm, backup firearm, and then melee weapon). Its design features are geared towards specific professional needs, such as fast and efficient deployment, reliable cutting and penetration, a low-visibility profile, modular carry options, and rugged, simple construction. Simple straight punches, strikes and hammer blows provide tremendous cutting potential with minimal training or effort. The holster can be clipped in a vertical position under a duty belt or inside the pants providing more than enough retention for a clean draw and safe retraction back into the holster. The holster can be easily attached with the optional MOLLE tie down straps, or simply placed around the neck or wrapped with paracord cord. Sheath and clip option, with sharpened upper blade section, with removable G-10 handle.

Since 1997, Jeff Randall and Mike Perrin have been on a journey to reshape the way survival and wilderness businesses operate. They were frustrated with the endless amount of exaggeration and hype often associated with survival equipment and training, so they founded Randall's Adventure & Training to bring realistic tools and knowledge to the consumer market.
Working under contract with the Peruvian flight school "Escuela De Supervivencia En La Selva" (Jungle Survival School), also known by the acronym ESSEL, they have introduced many clients to the art of survival in the vast Peruvian Amazon jungle.
After a few years in South America, they moved their training to the US and started a sister company to manufacture high quality knives and field equipment - ESEE Knives.
Their first design was the RTAK knife manufactured by the Wicked Knife Company in Arkansas and later produced by the Ontario Knife Company (OKC). They also developed the TOPS knives manufactured by Laser Strike. After spending five years developing the RAT line for OKC, they launched ESEE Knives.
Today, the ESEE brand is known and distributed worldwide. ESEE Knives/Randall's Adventure & Training clientele ranges from special operations personnel, rescue workers, hunters, police officers, border security, film crews, outdoorsmen to professional adventurers. Their courses and equipment have been featured on the Travel Channel, Discovery Channel and in numerous movies, books, leading outdoor magazines and trade publications.
The company's philosophy is simple: treat the customer with respect, keep prices reasonable, provide the best quality, and never teach a skill or provide equipment that hasn't been tried and tested in the real world.
Every student who walks through the doors of Randall's Adventure & Training leaves with a set of skills that will last a lifetime. Plus, every end user of an ESEE product knows they have the best warranty and customer service in the industry.
In the world of factory knives, survival equipment and wilderness training, ESEE/Randall's Adventure & Training is one of the few companies where all owners and employees live a lifestyle that matches the equipment they make and the training they teach. No suit and tie, just hard fought ground truth that is reflected in some of the best knives, equipment and training in the world.
