While most tomahawks are chopping tools, there was a less popular alternative known as the Spontoon Hawk. It was made with a blade explicitly designed for stabbing, and could deliver deep stab wounds that were very often fatal. Often found with an angled or diamond-shaped tip, the double-edged Spontoon Hawk had little or no utility value, but was an undeniably feared and brutally effective weapon. Today, it is very rare to see a modern made Spontoon Hawk on the market, so Cold Steel decided to remedy the situation with their own models, they have classic slanted and diamond blades that can be fully sharpened.
The axe head is made of 1055HC steel with a black finish and a 4.25" blade.
