The Heavy Machete, as its name suggests, is one of the heaviest models in the Cold Steel range. The Full tang construction blade is made from 1055 carbon steel with an anti-corrosive black finish. Steel 1055 is a tool grade carbon steel. The carbon content and low alloy of this shallow hardened steel makes it a very strong material that is not prone to brittleness. The blade widens towards the torsion for maximum cutting and chopping action. The handle is made of high-pressure injection-moulded polypropylene, making it almost indestructible. Comes with a highly durable Cor-Ex™ sheath.
