The Gladius Machete is a stylish machete inspired by the legendary sword of the Roman Empire. Despite this, it is a very effective working tool with excellent strength properties, designed for chopping. The blade with Full tang construction is made of 1055 carbon steel with an anti-corrosive black finish. Steel 1055 is a tool grade carbon steel. The carbon content and low alloying of this shallow hardened steel makes it a very strong material that is not prone to brittleness. The handle is made of high pressure injection molded polypropylene, making it nearly indestructible. The grip is fitted with a classic guard and ball head, just like the original gun. The Gladius Machete comes with a sturdy Cor-Exa sheath and strap for easy carrying and use.
