The Bark River Kephart 4 Crimson Burlap 3V is a traditionally styled knife inspired by the classic design of Horace Kephart, legendary explorer and outdoor writer. The approximately 108mm blade is made from premium CPM 3V tool steel, known for its high toughness, chip resistance and excellent corrosion resistance. The blade thickness reaches 2.5 mm, which ensures solid strength for more demanding applications such as chopping, woodworking or detail work.

The blade geometry features a flat cut with a gentle transition to the tip, making cutting easier and maximising control over the cutting line. The blade shape follows Kephart's original design - the straight guard and symmetrical shape promote versatile use in camping, bushcraft and hunting activities.

The handle features panels of Crimson Burlap Micarta, a laminate composed of jute fabric and resin known for its excellent grip even in wet conditions and attractive, rustic appearance. The profile of the handle is rounded, gently tapering towards the front, which aids a comfortable and secure grip for prolonged use. A grommet hole is located at the end of the handle, allowing the installation of a paracord for added safety or ease of carrying.

The overall length of the knife is approximately 222mm and the weight is around 129 grams, making it a well-balanced tool suitable for long term field carry. Also included is a quality leather sheath, hand-stitched to protect the blade and allow it to be worn on the belt in an upright position.
