The handle of this knife is made of titanium with carbon fiber, it exists in blue (BL) and silver gold (SG). It is fitted with a pocket clip. The ZDP189 blade can cut manila rope about 1000 times and still cut paper cleanly. This knife has a blade angle of 30 degrees to the middle of the blade length and 24 degrees from the middle to the tip. This reduction in angle provides excellent sharpness.
"HIGO" in Japanese means "the former name of the "kyushu" district in Japan.

The surface texture (roughness) measurement for Rockstead Ra knives is only 34 nanometers!
The total Rzmax size is not even 250 nanometers, which is ¼ micron!
The sharpness is incredible and is not conditioned by the distortion of the micro-teeth after grinding, as is the case with other knives!

Japanese ROCKSTEAD knives are the absolute world leader in this field and are at the top of the current steel production possibilities.
ROCKSTEAD knives also have unique blade shapes, taken from samurai swords. Usually convex ground, or even a combination of convex and flat ground. ROCKSTEAD blades thus use the traditions of samurai sword making to create the perfect knife.
The mirror-smooth surfaces of the blades make the most of the properties of steel. The whole polishing process is very tedious, with 400, 600, 800, 1200 and 2000 grit paper being polished. If a scratch is visible on the blade at the end, the whole process is repeated from the beginning. There is no similarly finished blade to the ROCKSTEAD knives. Comparing the micrographs, the difference between the classic machine steel of the conventional manufacturers is obvious. The ROCKSTEAD blade is smooth, whereas the other knives are shaped more like the teeth of a saw blade. The incredible properties of Rockstead knives are also documented in the following videos. You can easily split a loose hanging sheet of paper even after 1000 cuts of hemp rope. This knife has a beautiful flat surface with extreme sharpness.
