Product detailed description

The Mikov Antler Damascus is a knife with a PMC27 damascus blade, an ornate, stainless steel back feather, a genuine deer antler scabbard and an ergonomically perfect shape that fits the user's hand wonderfully. The blade, with a hardness of 58-62 HRc, is marked with a unique serial number.  The damascus stainless steel PMC27 combines the toughness of 12C27 steel (matt pattern) with the hardness of RWL 34 steel (glossy finish), the resulting material has high torsional, bending and impact toughness thanks to its internal structure, while at the same time being highly resistant to wear. The PMC27 damascus steel knife has very high cutting strength, extreme resistance to breakage and a beautiful, unmistakable damascus steel pattern. A leather sheath is included.

The father of Mikov's now legendary Predator knife is Mr. Vladimir Trojan, who started at the company almost 60 years ago as a toolmaker  and worked his way up to the position of chief corporate developer, where he still works today as a consultant.

Mr. Trojan was inspired for this knife by prototypes of ejector knives he discovered in the old pattern room from the factory's original German owners. Using his imagination, skilled Czech hands and the experience gained from the original prototypes of pre-war throwing knives, he created a truly timeless knife for its time, which with its precision, great functionality and original design impressed even the creators of the 2006 Bond film Casino Royale, where he played this Czech knife alongside Agent 007 and thus gained truly worldwide fame.

Why opt for a throwing knife?
- it's elegant
- its use is comfortable and safe
- it can be opened with just one hand
- you can choose it in classic or exclusive design and there is also a lifesaver variant. There are many more reasons to buy it, but as almost everyone who has bought one agrees - it is a knife that is simply exceptional.

Mikulášovice, still called "Nixdorf" in the 18th century, is undoubtedly the place where the cutlery industry in Bohemia began. This small border town lies in the northernmost point of the Czech Republic. There were many itinerant knife cutters in the area who were noticed by the merchant Ignaz Rösler and employed in his first knife factory.
Initially, the factory employed 100 workers, but by 1819 the number had doubled. The economic success of this factory led other inhabitants to set up other knife-making enterprises and auxiliary trades, and soon most of the citizens of Mikulášovice and the surrounding villages were connected with knife-making. Mikulášovice came to be known as the 'Czech Solingen'.
