Product detailed description
The Raptor is a modern version of the iconic Mikov Mackie front-facing switchblade that first appeared in the 1970s. This model became a symbol of precision Czech knifemaking and was prized by collectors and users alike for its reliable mechanism, compact design and fast opening.
At the time of its creation, the Mackie represented the pinnacle of technological possibilities of its era and was popular not only in Czechoslovakia but also abroad.
The new generation of the Raptor honours the legacy of its legendary predecessor and takes its qualities to a new level. It now uses premium materials and modern technology to provide even greater durability and performance. The satin 440C steel blade provides extreme hardness, exceptional wear resistance and an elegant appearance.
The key feature of the knife is its titanium ejection mechanism, which brings a number of advantages over traditional materials. Being extremely lightweight, extremely strong and corrosion resistant, titanium ensures the mechanism's longevity and reliability even in harsh conditions.
Thanks to these properties, the ejection system operates smoothly, with high precision and speed, while also being highly resistant to wear and tear, allowing for flawless functionality and long life.
The parts of the knife are coated with a special coating that features a low coefficient of friction, so the knife does not need any additional lubrication. Any additional lubrication will cause damage to the knife which will not be covered by the warranty.

Mikulášovice, still called "Nixdorf" in the 18th century, is undoubtedly the place where the cutlery industry in Bohemia began. This small border town lies in the northernmost point of the Czech Republic. There were many itinerant knife cutters in the area who were noticed by the merchant Ignaz Rösler and employed in his first knife factory.
Initially, the factory employed 100 workers, but by 1819 the number had doubled. The economic success of this factory led other inhabitants to set up other knife-making enterprises and auxiliary trades, and soon most of the citizens of Mikulášovice and the surrounding villages were connected with knife-making. Mikulášovice came to be known as the 'Czech Solingen'.
