Product detailed description
From Forged by War® comes the Du Hoc™ tactical knife, a tribute to the heroism of the soldiers who climbed the cliffs of Pointe du Hoc during the Normandy landings. The design of this knife transfers the ruggedness and strength of the original large **solid carambit** into a compact folding knife form without sacrificing strength or functionality.
A key feature is the **Deadbolt®** locking mechanism, which provides exceptional resistance to axial forces and ensures safe use even under heavy loads. The **91 mm** (3.6") quality steel blade with optimized geometry maintains aggressive cutting characteristics and is ready to handle even demanding tasks.
Thanks to the **Assisted Opening** system, the blade can be opened in a flash with both the flipper and the thumb stud, greatly increasing the speed of knife deployment. The handle made of durable **G10 composite** combined with the ergonomic thumb hole ensures a firm and secure grip, even in stressful situations or when using gloves.
The **Du Hoc™** knife not only honors the legacy of courage and combat deployment, but also supports the veteran community - a portion of the proceeds from its sale go to the **Idaho Backcountry Veterans** charity.

CRKT® was founded in 1994 with a clear vision of combining innovation, integrity, and practical design. From the beginning, the brand focused on creating knives and tools that perform reliably in real-world situations. Every product reflects a balance between technical engineering, durability, and user control, making them suitable for everyday carry, outdoor use, and professional applications.
Collaboration with world-class designers plays a key role in product development. Many of these designers come from military, rescue, or industrial backgrounds, contributing hands-on experience to every model. Advanced locking systems, functional blade shapes, and robust construction define CRKT products and set them apart in a competitive market.
Rather than relying on appearance alone, CRKT emphasizes performance over time. Materials, finishes, and mechanical solutions are selected with long-term use in mind. The philosophy of “confidence in hand” represents a practical promise, built through consistent quality and proven functionality rather than marketing claims.
