Katana Practical Plus – A Reborn Classic with a Traditional Spirit
The Katana Practical Plus returns with the features that made it a legend, now with significant improvements and a traditional spirit that will appeal to every practitioner and collector.
This model represents a logical evolutionary step following the success of the original Practical Katana from the early 21st century. It offers an exceptionally economical and reliable sword for cutting (Tameshigiri), but with a shift towards more traditional elements and construction methods.
Improved Elegance and Authenticity
New, clean fittings (Tsuba, Fuchi, Kashira, Menuki): A completely new design reminiscent of the early originals. The fittings are decorated with a Japanese dogwood motif with dragon Menuki.
Characteristic Tsuba: A solid iron guard with an elegant "sunburst" design.
Genuine Stingray Leather (Same): The handle (Tsuka) is covered with genuine stingray leather, over which a specially developed Tsuka-ito braid is wrapped for the best grip.
Traditional Assembly:
The traditionally long blade tang is secured with two pins (mekugi), allowing for safe disassembly of the handle for maintenance.
