Parachute Cord Monkey Fist

Para cord or parachute cord consists of two parts, a 4 mm wide nylon sheath and a core of 7 pieces of double yarn. In this combination it is a very strong material with a load capacity of 550 lbs, or about 249 kg. Parachute cord has been used in the past mainly in the defence forces, but is now also offered for general users. Paracord is a versatile product that can be used to tie down, attach various items, attach kydex holsters, to create a wrap on a knife handle, etc.
