The Cold Steel® Kris series, which includes the sword and dagger, is something that all Filipino martial arts enthusiasts and sword lovers will approve of and want to add to their collection. Blades made from 1055 carbon steel with hard spring hardening. They are satin polished and come fully sharpened. From the profile of the Kris blade, the slightly wavy shape with three concave curves and a long, descending spear point found on almost all Kris swords. This blade shape provides a good balance between cutting force and striking ability, and the sharp, sturdy points cut well at extreme range but are sharp enough to stab effectively. The bases of the blades, topped with traditional ornate "saw-cut" flanges, with the shorter protecting the finger and the longer protecting the thumb wrist and lower forearm.
The classic handles emphasize strength and resistance to fashion. They are hand-carved from exotic Sal hardwood, wrapped with wire and embellished with a brass bolt. Each Cold Steel Kris comes with an equally sturdy and practical sheath, ready to display on the wall or attach over a belt.
