It was originally intended for the manufacture of musical instruments. It is one of the hardest woods in the world and has a particularly fine, dark brown to black colour. The pronounced hardness of this natural material predestines it for the manufacture of accessories for wet shaving. The wood is durable, oily and polished to a high gloss. In practice, it is a shimmering, highly water-resistant material that additionally accentuates the unique veining. A wonderful contrast is created by the transition to the shiny chrome parts of the instruments. The Mühle brand only uses Grenadill wood from certified and sustainably maintained plantations. Without chrome, the world would lose much of its lustre, which is why we use it for our shaving products and why it demonstrates its best qualities here too. The products are corrosion resistant, have a very long life and have a luxurious look. When contrasted with other premium materials, their colours and shapes create the perfect piece of work. We offer synthetically produced top quality, whose properties are very similar to those of expensive natural badger bristles. Silvertip Fibre® is very soft at the tip, but somewhat more stable in the middle compared to natural bristles. These properties create a nice, soft feel on the skin when the foam is applied. For everyday use, these bristles are less sensitive compared to natural bristles because they dry faster and resist shaving soaps and creams better. Completely vegan fibers are also somewhat easier to use than natural fibers because they produce a particularly creamy and thick lather from a small amount of shaving soap or cream. The semi-circular shape of the shaving brush head is ideally adjusted by hand. The fine tips therefore do not require trimming and the natural softness of the fibres is preserved.
