Cold Steel Gold Lion Katana is the lightest Japanese sword made by Cold Steel. The blade of the Gold Lion Katana is made of damascus steel and is profiled with a groove along its length, making the sword lighter and producing a beautiful high pitched sound when exercised. Its light weight makes the sword agile and easy to handle. The blade is hammered on the edge of the blade, which is accentuated by a chemical process. The Katana Menuki, the element under the braid of the hilt, bears the symbol of the Japanese Shisa (Lion Dog) guardian or protector. It is a fitting motif for this beautiful lightweight sword. The stingray leather hilt is braided with black cord. The black guard, Tsuba, is complemented by Fuchi and Kashira with the same decorative motifs. The sword comes with a lacquered scabbard, Saya, made of soft wood.
