The Barberette shavetta from the German manufacturer Böker is a razor for classic interchangeable razor blades. The shavetta can be used on both classic DEB razors (43 mm) and 65 mm long razors. This eliminates the problem of sharpening classic razors. Supplied with 1 DEB razor blade. Made in Germany.
Boker Barberette stylishly combines the advantages of forged razors with safety razors. Handling is comparable to the Straight Razor, but there is no need to clean and sharpen it as the replaceable blades can be easily swapped out. The completely redesigned Boker Straight Razor is very popular not only with wet shaving enthusiasts, travelers and professional barbers and hairdressers, but it also finds a place in home bathrooms as an unpretentious and convenient all-round companion. In particular, barbers like to use the uncomplicated interchangeable blades in hectic traffic due to hygiene regulations, instead of disinfecting Straight Razors in the traditional way. The Boker Straight Razor has the same geometry and size as our forged Straight Razor blades. With a grooved synthetic surface, it provides a secure grip for your fingers at all times. The blade tray is made of stainless steel and moisture resistant synthetics and is designed to allow the use of both the ubiquitous 43mm standard blade for traditional razors (double edge) and 65mm long standard blades. The double-edged razor blades are carefully broken in the middle before insertion.
The Straight Razor knife handles follow the forged Straight Razor razors produced by the Boker manufactory and leave nothing to chance. You have the choice between a moisture-resistant synthetic handle with nickel silver inlay, hand-selected olive wood with contrasting pattern and elaborate decorations, or genuine deerskin with decorative studs. The Boker Barberette razor combines professional practicality with the usual handling and balance and authentic aesthetics of a classic straight razor. In addition, it provides an affordable alternative to forged Straight razors for beginners. It comes in a vintage packaging with a double-sided razor.
The olive wood blade gives the Boker Straight Razor a special accent and lively pattern. This model features the classic Boker tree symbol, which is subtly embedded into the wooden handle. The blade tray is suitable for standard 43mm and 65mm wide blades.
Due to the use of natural materials, the individual specimens differ from each other to some extent.

The roots of Böker go back to the 17th century, when the family forge operated in Remscheid and focused on steel processing and edge tools. Over time, practical experience shaped a technical mindset that balanced durability, cutting performance, and reliability. The expansion into sabres and rapiers around 1829–1830 marked a decisive technological step, demanding precise heat treatment and consistent blade geometry. During the second half of the 19th century, parts of the family moved to North America, establishing facilities in the USA and Canada. Today, major production remains in Solingen, supported by manufacturing in the USA and Argentina, while modern CNC machining ensures tight tolerances and repeatable results.
