Detailed information

Product detailed description

The Böker Barber's Choice vintage blade edition is truly a matter of the heart for many enthusiasts. In the pre-war period, the classic straight razor was considered the first choice for barbers who wanted to use the blade for all occasions, thus ensuring the best possible flexibility when shaving. The straight razor therefore uses a 5/8 inch wide blade with a Spanish head so that even fine contours can be shaved. The front of the blade is adorned with the Barber's Choice inscription based on a historic pattern and complemented by the classic H.Boker & Co logo on the blade edge. Only on the basis of the historic original knife was it possible to carry out a demanding restoration of the lettering, which then found its final and detailed execution in a multi-layer laser process.
The satin-finished blade is made of durable carbon steel and is characterized by its high blade durability. The black handle is made of almost indestructible plastic and is therefore very easy to clean, not only for the barber.
The handle is harmoniously decorated with two silver rivets.
Böker Barber's Choice is limited to 300 pieces and comes with a certificate of authenticity and vintage packaging.
Handmade in the Böker knife manufactory in Solingen.

Böker - the history of the factory dates back to the 17th century, the original forge was then located in Remscheid. In 1829-30, production was extended to sabres and swords. At that time, the factory employed over 100 blacksmiths and sharpeners. In the second half of the 19th century, part of the family moved to the USA and Canada, where they established further production facilities. The last of the Bocker siblings, Heinrich, moved to Solingen where most of today's production comes from. Boker manufactures knives according to its own designs and those of well-known knifemakers.
The company now manufactures its products in Germany, the USA and Argentina and uses the marketing brand MAGNUM. Böker develops new types and designs itself and employs several designers. The knives are manufactured on CNC (computer controlled machine tools) with the highest quality.
