Detailed information

Product detailed description

Handmade in Solingen, this knife boasts exceptional features that put it at the forefront of premium kitchen tools.

For the blade, the high-performance powdered steel material CPM-154 has been used, which stands out for its hardness (approx. 60-61 HRC), wear resistance and excellent blade retention. This material is often used in the finest kitchen knives due to its properties that allow easy and precise cutting for long periods of time without the need for frequent sharpening.

The handle is made of pearlwood, an exotic wood with a fine texture and distinctive pattern. This wood is not only an aesthetic accessory, but also offers a naturally comfortable grip that becomes invaluable when working in the kitchen for extended periods of time.

The peeler from this range is designed with a short blade, ensuring easy handling for smaller tasks such as peeling fruit or vegetables. Its design allows for clean and precise cutting close to the surface, minimizing waste and preserving maximum raw material.

The overall weight of the knife is carefully balanced (approximately 80 grams), reducing fatigue during extended use.

Böker - the history of the factory dates back to the 17th century, the original forge was then located in Remscheid. In 1829-30, production was extended to sabres and swords. At that time, the factory employed over 100 blacksmiths and sharpeners. In the second half of the 19th century, part of the family moved to the USA and Canada, where they established further production facilities. The last of the Bocker siblings, Heinrich, moved to Solingen where most of today's production comes from. Boker manufactures knives according to its own designs and those of well-known knifemakers.
The company now manufactures its products in Germany, the USA and Argentina and uses the marketing brand MAGNUM. Böker develops new types and designs itself and employs several designers. The knives are manufactured on CNC (computer controlled machine tools) with the highest quality.
