Samura KAIJU Bolster - three-piece knife set
Code: SKJ22BRelated products
Product detailed description
The Samura Kaiju Bolster series represents a modern approach to kitchen knives, which are created by combining hardened AUS-8 stainless steel with hand hammering. The surface structure creates effective micro-indentations that reduce the adhesion of ingredients, while the semi-glossy and slightly wavy blade provides a smooth cut even during longer work. The classic shape of the knives is well-balanced, allowing for natural hand movements without unnecessary vibration or fatigue.
The pakkawood handles provide a stable grip and a comfortable feel in the palm of your hand. The layered wood construction gives the knives the necessary resistance to moisture and temperature fluctuations, ensuring long-term durability. In practice, each knife acts as a reliable tool for precise cutting, filleting, or delicate peeling.
The set includes a chef's knife suitable for most everyday tasks, a more flexible filleting knife for working with meat and fish, and a smaller utility knife for detailed food preparation. The combination of these three knives creates a balanced set that gives your kitchen a professional feel, even when used at home.

At Samura, they are guided by a clear vision: to achieve the ideal combination of traditional Japanese craftsmanship, European permanence and unique creativity.
Samura began in 2003 as a family business led by founder, renowned designer and engineer Alex Yakovlev, who still hand-sketches every concept. Obsessed with precision, Alex invests countless hours to ensure that everything that bears the Samura name guarantees customers unparalleled quality, consistent sharpness and a unique aesthetic. And while the company has blossomed into a major market force, it's still run like a family business: ninety percent of the manufacturing process is done by hand.
Where other manufacturers are cutting costs, Samura believes that higher caliber requires more investment. That's why Samura knives are made from the finest Japanese and Swedish steel, hardened to 58-61 HRC. The knives are then ground to a unique 17 degree angle and many series undergo hand convex grinding. Although this is a much more costly and time-consuming process, the manufacturer wants the knives to cut perfectly. Samura was also the first brand to introduce mass production "stonewash", which gives each blade a non-stick surface that ensures easy cutting.
All handles are made from high quality materials and each Samura knife is hand sharpened on a whetstone before packaging.
Our motto: the customer is simply our audience and we strive for an ovation. We compete only with ourselves and our insatiable desire to find the perfect knife for your established, successful, or even budding culinary interests. We invite you to explore our top knives.
