The Chaos line was inspired by the traditional "Trench knives", the trench knives of World War I. Chaos knives are solid, smooth-edged knives made from SK-5 steel. The dominant feature is the solid 6061 solid aluminum hand guard and 1055 carbon steel tip on the back of the handle. The blade of the knife is made of Japanese high carbon steel SK-5. The steel exhibits high toughness, holds the blade very well and has great abrasion resistance. The blade is further treated with Black Tuff-Ex anti-corrosion coating. It is a Teflon-like material.
