Linerlock

Linerlock is a mechanical knife lock system that uses a flexible plate inserted into the handle to secure the blade in the open position. When the blade is opened, the plate snaps flexibly against the base of the blade and prevents it from closing accidentally during handling. The principle works without the need for an external lever or button, allowing for a simple and compact design.

The functional principle is based on the balance between the flexibility of the spring and the pressure of the blade; if the spring is too stiff, closing the knife is difficult, if it is too soft, there is a risk of accidental closure. Unlocking is done by pressing the plate with your thumb away from the blade, which releases the lock and allows the blade to be safely folded into the handle.
