Clip

The knife clip is an inconspicuous but very important element of the functional design of pocket blades. It serves to securely attach the tool to the edge of a pocket, belt, or equipment, allowing for quick and safe access. It is most often made of spring stainless steel with a thickness of around 1–1.5 mm, or titanium, which is lighter and more resistant to corrosion. The surface is usually sandblasted, anodized, or blackened to reduce glare and enhance its aesthetic value.

The shape of the clip determines how it is worn. There are deep carry variants that allow the knife to be inserted deep into the pocket, so that only a small fragment remains visible from the outside. Other designs leave part of the handle above the edge of the fabric, which makes it easier to draw but hides less of the knife's profile. An important detail is the curve of the flexible part – it must exert sufficient pressure on the fabric without causing rapid wear.

The clips are attached with screws with a diameter of 2–3 mm, often threaded directly into the handle. Some models allow for repositioning in multiple positions, such as tip-up or tip-down, right or left side, increasing the versatility of the knife. In addition, titanium clips are able to return to their original shape even after prolonged use due to the high elasticity of the material.
