When El Chete was launched in 2017, it immediately became TOPS' best-selling model.
Something about the functionality of the blade along with its aesthetics just struck a chord with people in the knifemaking community.
The Mini version was originally considered by TOPS after they made several wooden Christmas ornaments that were scaled down versions of the full-size blades. Several of these ornaments looked like they would make amazing knives. So TOPS decided to have several full-size miniatures made.
With an overall length of 8 and 3/4 inches (about 22.2 cm), the El Chete Mini is really just a miniature compared to the original.
From tip to handle, it's a 5 1/2 inch blade (about 14 cm) with the same distinctive shape that made the original so popular.
It features the same finish as the full-size version and has green Micarta canvas handles.
The Kydex sheath makes carrying this knife as an EDC on your hip a breeze, and once you get it, you'll be looking for reasons to show it off.
