This milestone among the multi-purpose knives used extensively in Afghanistan as standard equipment of the Italian mission "Nibbio" was created within the framework of the experimental project of the COMALP Alpine Troops Command for the renewal of soldiers' equipment. In preparation for the mission, COMALP coordinated a team of companies to create a complete experimental set of newly designed equipment for individual soldiers. Extrema Ratio was selected by COMALP to develop a new multi-purpose knife suitable for infantry - a knife that can be used in any operation anywhere and is capable of successfully performing tasks where more specialized tools fail. Extrema Ratio was so successful that this multi-purpose knife was followed by the development of the Fulcrum bayonet, an implementation of the same that can be mounted on a standard rifle. It is an extremely durable and versatile knife, with a blade that can withstand loads of over 150 kilograms without breaking. The tanto-shaped blade allows for a great deal of work and wear while still retaining a sharp, penetrating edge on an extremely strong point. Its weight and balance make the Fulcrum knife suitable for heavy field work. Available in FULCRUM E.I., FULCRUM BLACK, FULCRUM DESERT WARFARE.
