This is the model that started it all. After designing the RAT-3 for the Ontario Knife Company, it was the first design we carried over when ESEE Knives (formerly known as RAT Cutlery) was formed.
The ESEE-3 is still a favorite among police and military teams due to its light weight, moderate profile, and various holster options. The carbon steel, which is coated with a special textured coating to increase resistance to the elements, offers long-lasting sharpness and durability in perhaps all cutting applications. With a weight of around 150 grams, the Model 3 is an ideal and lightweight companion for any situation.
Effective solid knife from ESEE in full tang, partially serrated blade design. Handle made of molded two-tone G-10. Shaped black plastic sheath.

Since 1997, Jeff Randall and Mike Perrin have been on a journey to reshape the way survival and wilderness businesses operate. Their first design was the RTAK knife manufactured by the Wicked Knife Company in Arkansas and later produced by the Ontario Knife Company (OKC). They also developed the TOPS knives manufactured by Laser Strike. After spending five years developing the RAT line for OKC, they launched ESEE Knives.
Today, the ESEE brand is known and distributed worldwide. ESEE Knives/Randall's Adventure & Training clientele ranges from special operations personnel, rescue workers, hunters, police officers, border security, film crews, outdoorsmen to professional adventurers. Their courses and equipment have been featured on the Travel Channel, Discovery Channel and in numerous movies, books, leading outdoor magazines and trade publications.
