Product detailed description
In the 15th and 16th centuries, the Swiss dagger was a common weapon among Swiss pikemen. Due to its length, it occupied a position between a dagger and a sword and, as a secondary weapon, was not issued but purchased individually. Its typical shape with a curved crossguard and pommel dates back to the 13th century.
Following the successful Twisted Damascus edition comes the Swiss Dagger Mosaic Damascus – a true pinnacle of collectible craftsmanship. The mosaic Damascus steel, created by renowned blacksmith Chad Nichols, is not made by layering, but by complex folding, cutting, and forging of steel into a fine, repeating pattern, making it the supreme discipline of Damascus forging.
The diamond-cut blade, ground on both sides, follows historical designs and offers exceptional strength and efficiency. The highly polished steel pommel and crossguard perfectly complement the certified ebony handle, which emphasizes the knife's elegant appearance.
The dagger comes in a hand-stitched leather sheath, stored in a wooden box with a certificate of authenticity and a unique serial number. This strictly limited edition of 500 pieces worldwide is handmade at the Böker factory in Solingen.

Böker - the history of the factory dates back to the 17th century, the original forge was then located in Remscheid. In 1829-30, production was extended to sabres and swords. At that time, the factory employed over 100 blacksmiths and sharpeners. In the second half of the 19th century, part of the family moved to the USA and Canada, where they established further production facilities. The last of the Bocker siblings, Heinrich, moved to Solingen where most of today's production comes from. Boker manufactures knives according to its own designs and those of well-known knifemakers.
The company now manufactures its products in Germany, the USA and Argentina and uses the marketing brand MAGNUM. Böker develops new types and designs itself and employs several designers. The knives are manufactured on CNC (computer controlled machine tools) with the highest quality.
