Detailed information

Product detailed description

THIS IS NOT A SERIALLY MADE KNIFE, DELIVERY TIME IS 20 WEEKS AFTER A MANUFACTURER PLEDGES A BINDING ORDER.

The famous M3 trench knife was developed in 1943 and was to be issued to all American soldiers during World War II who did not carry bayonets. H. Boker & Co. was also one of nine manufacturers to produce the M3 trench knife during the war, but with an order volume of 31,300 knives, it delivered the fewest number of units of any supplier. The sister company of Böker's parent plant in Solingen was located in New Jersey at the time.
The Böker M3 trench knife revives this classic piece of American military history, combining historic design with high-quality materials and impeccable workmanship. The black-coated blade is made of SK-85 stainless carbon steel and bears the original "H. Boker & Co." stamp. from 1943. The handle is made of moulded leather rings and always fits securely in the hand, even in wet conditions. The characteristic parrying element prevents accidental slipping on the blade. The groove in the blade's spine not only reduces weight and improves the knife's balance, but also emphasizes the clean lines.

Böker - the history of the factory dates back to the 17th century, the original forge was then located in Remscheid. In 1829-30, production was extended to sabres and swords. At that time, the factory employed over 100 blacksmiths and sharpeners. In the second half of the 19th century, part of the family moved to the USA and Canada, where they established further production facilities. The last of the Bocker siblings, Heinrich, moved to Solingen where most of today's production comes from. Boker manufactures knives according to its own designs and those of well-known knifemakers.
The company now manufactures its products in Germany, the USA and Argentina and uses the marketing brand MAGNUM. Böker develops new types and designs itself and employs several designers. The knives are manufactured on CNC (computer controlled machine tools) with the highest quality.
