Product detailed description
Gerrit and Andy, better known as "Naturensöhne" (sons of nature), inspire more than 490,000 followers on their YouTube channel with entertaining content on bushcraft, camping, hiking and equipment testing. More than two years ago, Böker began working with these two Berliners on the concept for their own Naturensöhne knife. With their nomination for the 3rd episode of the successful 7 vs. Wild format on YouTube, where seven teams have to survive in the wilderness with self-selected pieces of equipment, the requirements for the joint project became even more demanding. Because all the gear had to be stored together in a 1L Nalgene bottle, the dimensions of the rugged outdoor knife had to be completely rethought. The result is the Naturensöhne MK. I: a special version of the successful Böker Bronco outdoor knife. The blade offers exactly what is expected of the most important tool in uncompromising outdoor use: exceptional edge retention, impact resistance, resistance to breakage and shattering. This is made possible not only by the powder metallurgical steel of the CPM 3V blade, but also by the attractive Hardur premium coating, which is used exclusively on high-quality cutting and punching tools. Thermoplastic TPE is used as handle material. This is indestructible and, in addition to a perfect hand position, ensures the required safety for working in dry and wet conditions. The premium equipment is complemented by a compact kydex sheath, which ensures that the most important tool does not get destroyed thanks to the included Ulticlip clip.

The roots of Böker go back to the 17th century, when the family forge operated in Remscheid and focused on steel processing and edge tools. Over time, practical experience shaped a technical mindset that balanced durability, cutting performance, and reliability. The expansion into sabres and rapiers around 1829–1830 marked a decisive technological step, demanding precise heat treatment and consistent blade geometry. With more than a hundred skilled craftsmen employed, the company gained the capacity to refine production without losing its artisanal foundation.
During the second half of the 19th century, parts of the family moved to North America, establishing facilities in the USA and Canada. This international presence allowed experimentation with new designs and materials. Today, major production remains in Solingen, supported by manufacturing in the USA and Argentina, while modern CNC machining ensures tight tolerances and repeatable results. Böker develops knives in-house and in collaboration with well-known makers, delivering tools that combine engineering precision with practical usability, including the widely distributed MAGNUM line aimed at robust everyday performance.
