Product detailed description
The Böker Swell-End Jack is another classic knife shape that has been appearing in European farmers markets and typical general merchandise stores in American settlements since the turn of the century. This handy pocket knife owes its name to its traditional design, which widens noticeably towards the end of the handle, shifting the knife's centre of gravity backwards. In addition to the satin-finished main blade made of ice-hardened N690 material with a hardness of 60 to 61 HRC, the knife is also equipped with a classic screwdriver cap opener. The safety of the sliding joint at the blade is enhanced by a 90 degree stop during opening and closing. The noble handle scales are made of certified imported thuja wood, which is characterized by its warm colour and distinctive pattern. The distinctive bases are made of nickel silver. Handmade in the Böker knife manufactory in Solingen.

Böker - the history of the factory dates back to the 17th century, the original forge was then located in Remscheid. In 1829-30, production was extended to sabres and swords. At that time, the factory employed over 100 blacksmiths and sharpeners. In the second half of the 19th century, part of the family moved to the USA and Canada, where they established further production facilities. The last of the Bocker siblings, Heinrich, moved to Solingen where most of today's production comes from. Boker manufactures knives according to its own designs and those of well-known knifemakers.
The company now manufactures its products in Germany, the USA and Argentina and uses the marketing brand MAGNUM. Böker develops new types and designs itself and employs several designers. The knives are manufactured on CNC (computer controlled machine tools) with the highest quality.
