There are not many butterfly knives on the market that meet a few seemingly simple requirements. Classic construction, excellent workmanship, quality materials, wear resistance, reliability and light weight and affordable price. That's why the KMFS Deuteron SH was created, the little brother of the exclusive Deuteron model.

The blade is made of 4mm thick N690 stainless steel, hardened to 58HRC. Hardness sufficient for wear resistance, but not too brittle, due to possible knife drops. Stonewash surface with subtle pattern. The blade is hand-ground at a 45 degree angle, on a set of KMFS RIVAL diamond knife sharpening system.

The blades are stainless steel, on pins made specifically for this knife! The pins are stainless and secured with internal steel rings. Minimal play, no shims, handles have shaped, precision ground tapers in the channels where the blade meets. Knife can be disassembled and reassembled, no tightening or loosening required (maintenance free). The blades have a U-profile, their stiffness in all directions is therefore enormous and makes the knife almost indestructible. The safety is made of N690 steel and hardened to 58HRC like the blade, the hardening gives it a darker appearance.

The knife comes in an unusual and humorously designed package. The transparent cover sits on the base, which fits the knife precisely, and as a whole it all forms a waterproof knife sheath. Each knife is numbered on the blade and has a stainless steel laser engraved COA (certificate of authenticity) with its number placed in the stand.
