Kershaw Dividend Composite

Product detailed description
With its new composite blade and machined and anodised aluminium handle, the Dividend is more distinctive than ever. Kershaw's patented Composite Blade technology combines two steels in one blade. In this case, CPM D2 and Bohler N690. They put Bohler N690 on top of the blade to take advantage of its corrosion resistance and exceptional hardness. They put the D2 on the edge to take advantage of its wear resistance, toughness and excellent edge hold. Then they permanently fused them into a "jagged" pattern for a warbird-like style.

The American brand Kershaw has earned international recognition through modern technology, user-friendly design, and long-term durability. Its range covers everyday carry pocket knives as well as kitchen knives built for frequent, demanding use. Practical performance stands at the core of the brand’s philosophy, noticeable from the first cut. Compact construction supports easy carry, while materials and assembly maintain a solid, dependable feel.
A key technical feature involves the SpeedSafe assisted opening system. This mechanism allows fast, smooth one-handed deployment without complex handling. Assisted opening improves control and safety, and the knives are generally not classified as automatic, which helps with legality across many regions. Blade geometry and steel selection focus on edge retention, consistent cutting behavior, and straightforward maintenance.
Kershaw kitchen knives address a wide audience, from home cooks to more advanced users. Various blade profiles and handle shapes support different cutting styles and preferences. Attention to ergonomics reduces hand fatigue during longer prep sessions, adding real value in everyday cooking. Being part of the Japanese KAI group alongside Zero Tolerance and Shun strengthens quality control and shared innovation.
