The traditional German brand Fr.Dick was founded in 1778 by Johann Friedrich Dick in Esslingen. Today, this family-owned company is one of the world's largest producers of quality kitchen knives and professional sharpening systems. Dick has received several valuable awards for his work, e.g. the Red dot design 2008 for "Die Damaszenermesser-Serie 1893".
