The Voyager® line of closing knives is one of the oldest, most desirable and best-selling lines in Cold Steel's history. The 3.5mm or 4mm thick blade is made from Japanese AUS 10A steel. The steel was then heat-treated for the perfect balance between edge retention and easy re-sharpening. The blade is treated with a finish called Stone Wash Finish. This finish gives the product a supposed patina and gives the treated material a matte finish. It prevents unwanted glare from polished blades and is used in the manufacture of tactical knives. The steel used is able to hold the blade very well, which is already hand ground to a high sharpness from the factory.
