Lynn C. Thompson Signature - Oyabun Limited is a high-end collectible version of the Oyabun knife. It shares features with the standard model in terms of functionality and appearance, but differs significantly in the materials used in its manufacture. Its collectible value is also due to the fact that only 3,500 were produced. Each one is individually serial numbered and each box will be personally signed by Lynn C himself. Thompson! The premium S35VN steel in the blade is an expensive powder steel that is heat treated to Rc 59-60 and hardened below zero. It has been given an attractive two-tone line-grain finish on the blade surfaces and a high satin polish on the blade facets. Most striking is the handle frame, which is milled from two solid billets of 6061 aluminum to form the bolster and pommel, which have a fine mirror polish finish. The handle also features CNC-machined G-10 diamond checkering plates for a good, sure grip.
