The Böker Plus 2025 Advent calendar contains a complete kit for making a full-fledged pocket knife, which is created by gradually assembling individual parts, day after day.
Each component, precision-machined from high-quality stainless steel, fits into the whole with the satisfying precision that can only be expected from traditional Solingen manufacturing. The set includes two blade variants – one classic, the other with a nail notch allowing legal carrying in accordance with German legislation. In addition, there are several types of handles and guards, various clips and small accessories that give the builder the opportunity to create a completely unique tool.
The selected Lockback locking system provides reliability, mechanical stability, and smooth operation when closing. Each part has a specific weight that affects the overall ergonomics, allowing experienced users to fine-tune not only the aesthetics but also the center of gravity and handling.
Thanks to precisely controlled heat treatment, the hardened blade achieves an optimal combination of hardness and toughness, ensuring high blade durability while remaining easy to maintain. The joints are held together by stainless steel Torx screws, which allow for easy assembly and possible later modification.
Each step is accompanied by detailed instructions with illustrations and video instructions that guide the assembler through the process with clockwork precision. Böker - the history of the factory dates back to the 17th century, the original forge was then located in Remscheid. In 1829-30, production was extended to sabres and swords. At that time, the factory employed over 100 blacksmiths and sharpeners. In the second half of the 19th century, part of the family moved to the USA and Canada, where they established further production facilities. The last of the Bocker siblings, Heinrich, moved to Solingen where most of today's production comes from. Boker manufactures knives according to its own designs and those of well-known knifemakers.
The company now manufactures its products in Germany, the USA and Argentina and uses the marketing brand MAGNUM. Böker develops new types and designs itself and employs several designers. The knives are manufactured on CNC (computer controlled machine tools) with the highest quality.
