Product detailed description
The characteristic drop point shape of the Barlow knife has its roots in 17th century English pocket knives, making it one of the oldest models ever. The name of the classic knife probably comes from an enterprising Sheffield knife maker of the same name who began exporting sturdy knives to North America around 1800. There, they were immediately popular, and so the first Barlow models also appeared in the history of the Böker manufactory in the late 19th century.
This version of the reinterpreted Böker Barlow Prime in integral construction dispenses with the characteristic bolsters and instead features continuous, nicely shaped handle blades in black Micarta. Thanks to the lightweight construction, this means that additional metal inserts can be dispensed with entirely. The satin-finished blade is made of ice-hardened N690 material. It is equipped with a modern extended ricasso, the operational safety of the joint is increased by a 90-degree detent when opening and closing. The decorative rivets are made of stainless steel. With high quality felt sleeve for storage.

Böker - the history of the factory dates back to the 17th century, the original forge was then located in Remscheid. In 1829-30, production was extended to sabres and swords. At that time, the factory employed over 100 blacksmiths and sharpeners. In the second half of the 19th century, part of the family moved to the USA and Canada, where they established further production facilities. The last of the Bocker siblings, Heinrich, moved to Solingen where most of today's production comes from. Boker manufactures knives according to its own designs and those of well-known knifemakers.
The company now manufactures its products in Germany, the USA and Argentina and uses the marketing brand MAGNUM. Böker develops new types and designs itself and employs several designers. The knives are manufactured on CNC (computer controlled machine tools) with the highest quality.
